SUMMITVIEW DRIVE STREET RECONSTRUCTION UPDATE 

Friday April 21, 2017

Major street construction work continues on Summitview Drive.  There will continue to be traffic closures on Summitview Drive at the Royal Gate and at Clearspring Drive South today as we pour concrete at Creekside Circle South and Summitview Drive.  The initial phases are creating major traffic disruptions on Summitview Drive between our Royal Gate and Clearspring Drive North.  Please plan to use alternate routes to avoid significant delays.

  • Please observe and follow all construction signage.
  • Please observe the posted construction zone speed limit of 10 MPH.
  • Traffic in work zones is reduced to one lane.
  • Residents should be courteous and allow passage through the construction area on an alternating basis.
  • Construction zones have flashing lights for driver safety.
  • Creekside Circle South at Summitview Drive is closed for northbound side demolition and replacement. 
  • Hunters Ridge Drive at Summitview Drive is closed for northbound side demolition and replacement.
  • Clearspring Drive North at Summitview Drive is closed for northbound side demolition and replacement.
  • Detour routes to Summitview Drive via Ruston Drive to Clearspring Drive South and Creekside Circle North are indicated with directional signage.
  • Periodic total street closures will occur on Summitview Drive for demolition, concrete pours, etc., over the next several weeks.
  • Construction zones are designated and barricaded with no street parking permitted on either side of the street on Summitview Drive.
  • Sidewalks adjacent to construction work zones are closed for safety, work staging, etc.

The Summitview Drive portion of the street replacement project is scheduled to be completed by the end of June.  Each impacted homeowner on Summitview Drive and connected streets is being contacted for ongoing project coordination.

Project updates with future work locations and closures will be provided weekly. Please call the HOA office at 972-401-4946 with any questions.

STREET CLOSING ALERT – GATE 1 (ROYAL GATE) AND PORTIONS OF SUMMITVIEW DRIVE WILL BE CLOSED ON FRIDAY

Gate 1 and the construction area at the south end of Summitview Drive (up to Clearspring Drive South) will be closed to regular traffic on Friday, April 21st from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.  The closure is necessary to pour the new concrete street in this area.  There will be barricades and road closed signs on Summitview Drive and at Gate 1.  During the concrete pouring time period, Gate 1 will be limited to concrete delivery trucks only and the gate officer will direct residents and guests to another gate. 

The contractor plans to work until 7:00 PM on Friday and between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM on Saturday preparing the next area for another concrete pour next week.  The date and time of the pour will be announced in a Hackberry Creek Newsflash. 

The Homeowners Association is posting a weekly status report on the repaving project on the Village Information tab on the Homeowners Association website.  However, any resident with a question or issue can call the Association office (972) 401-4946 during business hours to get additional information.  If a problem in the construction zone occurs after business hours, residents are advised to call the Homeowners Association office and press “9” to be connected to the after-hours common area emergency hotline.

Gate 1 and the construction area at the south end on Summitview Drive (up to Huntersridge Drive/Court) will be closed to regular traffic tomorrow (April 14th) between 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.  The closure is necessary to pour the new concrete street in this area.  There will be barricades and road closed signs on Summitview Drive and at Gate 1.  During the concrete pouring time period, Gate 1 will be limited to concrete delivery trucks only and the gate officer will direct residents and guests to another gate. 

Weather permitting, the contractor expects to pour another section of Summitview Drive next week and another temporary road closing can be expected.  The exact time of the closing will be announced in a special Hackberry Creek Newsflash.

DANGER – Construction Zones can pose a serious safety hazard to drivers, pedestrians and work crews.  Residents are urged to drive slowly and carefully when in the construction area.
